Jane Duncan is a Family Nurse Practitioner who obtained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees of Science from the University of Northern Colorado.  Because Jane enjoyed her staff nursing career so much, she decided to become a Nurse Practitioner.  

“I wanted to be able to provide a higher level of individualized and personalized patient care, as well as to develop job skills in the medical profession that I could take anywhere in the world.  I just love what I do, I love my patient contact, and I love to teach.”

Jane has been a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2001. Jane's Family Nurse Practitioner clinical experience includes Urgent Care, Pediatrics, Family Practice (prenatal to geriatric care), Well-Woman and Anticoagulation Therapy.  She has always liked seeing a variety of different types of patients, which is perhaps why she is attracted to Family Practice.  Of recent, Jane has become especially interested in Well-Woman health and examinations, with women of all ages.  Detailed and thorough, Jane enjoys the connection that she experiences with her patients.

In her spare time, Jane loves to travel, camp, run, and hike outdoors with her dog, Annie, and husband, Richard.  She also likes interior decorating and cooking, specializing in vegetarian cooking.  Jane’s husband insists, “When it comes to vegetarian cooking, Jane is a Gourmet Chef!”  

Jane’s favorite place to travel has thus far been Italy, where she and her husband have visited three times.  They like the food, the wine and especially the people, having found them to be, “very helpful, friendly, easy to get along with, accommodating, and willing to share.”  After practicing her Spanish a bit more, Jane and her husband would like to travel to Spain.

While always appreciating living in Colorado, with so many out-of-doors activities, Jane’s favorite place to camp and hike (thus far!) is Ouray, Colorado.  “The rocks just jet right straight up, it’s absolutely gorgeous!”
